6th FEBURARY 2023 JOURNEY TO CORNWALL: KINGS CROSS, PADDINGTON & TRURO.

6th February 2023

The beginning of my voyage down to the SW to see my Step-Sister and arrival at Kings Cross Railway Station. And what should I see alongside my train... only 802302 'Jean Bishop (The Bee Lady)', last seen exiting Doncaster Railway Station late last year!

Class 225 Driving Van Trailer (DVT) 82211, just arrived at P1 London Kings Cross with a service from the North with me aboard.

Class 700, Govia Thameslink EMU 700051 waits to depart from P0 at London Kings Cross.

Hull Trains 802302 'Jean Bishop (The Bee Lady)' at P4 & LNER DVT 82211 at P1 Kings Cross Rail Station.

A short trip over to west London via the Underground train from Kings Cross to Paddington on the Circle Line to get my connection onwards to Truro.

On board the GWR 800/1 heading out of Paddington.

First stop, Reading railway Station.

I must say, looking at Reading Station from the inside of a train, it looks very modern and futuristic!

Now the 4 hour voyage to Truro gets underway in earnest!

At last, after 6 hours of travelling, I finally arrived at Truro rail Station!

JANUARY 2023: AIRCRAFT FLYOVERS VIEWED FROM OUR GARDEN.

6th January.

The beginning of the month began with clear blue skies. Perfect conditions for photographing airline planes crossing the Yorkshire skies.

One that I have been looking out for is the Emirates Airbus A380 plane with the multicoloured livery, as shown below. Together with its low height as it passes overhead on its glide-path into Manchester Airport. This presents a marvellous photographic opportunity.
