22nd FEBRUARY 2025: A WANDER AROUND DONCASTER RAIL STATION.

As I was in town, I stopped-off at the Railway Station. Had a short wander around to see if anything interesting was about. Luckerly, Class 68 was at the west sidings coupled to a Class 66. 68s tend to be rare these days. Only 20 were ever made between 2013-2017.

Direct Rail Services Class 66, 422 attached to the class 68.

A 4-car class 331 electric set also at the west sidings.

2nd & 3rd JANUARY 2025 -THE NIGHT SKY.

I find that placing the camera on a tripod and setting the time expose to 10 or 15 seconds at ISO 100, more or less records what the dark-adapted eye sees and maybe a bit more!

Orion & Jupiter with a few of the bright stars.

More detail on the above photo. ISO 100 at 15secs time exposure and tripod.

Of course, using a software package to enhance the photo would reveal more definition. The winter skies provide some of the best views from the northern hemisphere with Orion, the dominant constellation.
