This Blog is an attempt to gather all my photos of railway rolling stock in action. Aeroplanes in the sky or on the ground and a myriad of other things such as night sky objects like stars and planets. The Natural World, such as birds, plants, insects and large fury creatures.
The weather during the month was quite cloudy at times but there were a few days when high-flying planes over our garden could be photographed.

Not having seen the 'Beluga' much before this month, this is the second flight I've observed in September. So no apologies in displaying a few photos.

It's always a pleasure to observe the 'Beluga' Airbus A300-608ST. That great bulge of an aircraft. How does it stay in the air? Caught this photo in a rush.
Airbus A300-608ST 'Beluga' Reg: F-GSTF 13,700ft Hamburg to Chester.
The Piper approach almost caught me off-guard. Fortunately I had my camera to hand as it swiftly flew over us to begin its approach to the airport.
This afternoon, I drove out to Doncaster airport to see the approach and landing of a Boeing 747-48EF, from Nairobi. What I and others already there, got was the unscheduled arrival of a another Boeing 747, the 'One Air' 747- a few minutes beforehand! This had been parked-up at Doncaster for at least the last 5 months, that I know of and occasionally departing to Perth or elsewhere for work to be done on the aircraft. The livery has recently been completed.
So here I was and only by the skin-of-my-teeth! Traffic delays meant I missed the 12:35 TUIfly arrival. Looking to the south, the 'One Air' came towards the airport from the cloudy sky. I took many photos and a movie of its arrival and here is just a small selection. The roar of the jets engines as it passed me, 600 feet high was fantastic!
Video of One Air Boeing 747-433(BDSF) G-UNET approach from the South into Doncaster Airport.
Here she is... One Air Boeing 747-433(BDSF) Reg G-UNET, approach to Doncaster Airport.

Well that was unexpected! But no time dwell on the moment, Astral Aviation Boeing 747-433(BDSF) reg. TF-AMU was due to land in the next 5 minutes!
And here it is...! Astral Aviation Boeing 747-433(BDSF) reg. TF-AMU approach to Doncaster Airport.

Magnificent side-on view of Astral Aviation Boeing 747-48EF.
An all too brief visit to the airport for me, just 30 minutes but well worth the journey out here. May I take the time to say that it is a shame that the airport's owners are closing-down operations at the end of October 2022. Though the Government and the South Yorkshire Mayor has announced that they are working to reverse this decision...we shall see?
From big metal-birds to smaller feathered ones. This afternoon, my wife photographed a Buzzard hovering in the vicinity of our garden.
Today I ventured up the 'Down Line' to York Rail Station, again... to see another steam locomotive as it called into the station on its way to Scarborough. This was the 'Coast To Coast Express' or Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough and it was hauled by the the Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 46115 Scots Guardsman. This is the second occasion I have seen this loco.

As everyone was taking photos, someone calls out, "The Midland Pullman has arrived". Most, including myself hurry over to platform 9. Fortunately the train was stood waiting to move out to Holgate sidings, so I got there before it departed. I had seen this earlier in the year, but it's always a good feeling to see familiar locos.
