This Blog is an attempt to gather all my photos of railway rolling stock in action. Aeroplanes in the sky or on the ground and a myriad of other things such as night sky objects like stars and planets. The Natural World, such as birds, plants, insects and large fury creatures.
10th SEPTEMBER 2022 : 1Z68 'THE COAST TO COAST EXPRESS' (LIVERPOOL LIME STREET TO SCARBOROUGH) AT YORK RAILWAY STATION.
Today I ventured up the 'Down Line' to York Rail Station, again... to see another steam locomotive as it called into the station on its way to Scarborough. This was the 'Coast To Coast Express' or Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough and it was hauled by the the Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 46115 Scots Guardsman. This is the second occasion I have seen this loco.

As everyone was taking photos, someone calls out, "The Midland Pullman has arrived". Most, including myself hurry over to platform 9. Fortunately the train was stood waiting to move out to Holgate sidings, so I got there before it departed. I had seen this earlier in the year, but it's always a good feeling to see familiar locos.
