Got out of my pit exceptionally early this morning to see this excursion make a fleeting stop for passengers at Doncaster Station. The air was chilly and it had recently stopped raining and the Waning Crescent Moon was in the east. This was an excursion for 'Branch Line Society' members on a day-trip to Saltburn. I wanted to view this as it was hauled by a Class 50, 50008 loco, Thunderer, with a Class 37, 37418, An Comunn Gaidhealach, at the rear. Other than this, not much else to see except a curious couple of coaches, two EMU Translator Vehicles in the West Yard alongside platform 8.
