12 FEBRUARY 2022 - 6233 DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND "1Z80 THE VALENTINES WHITE ROSE" KINGS CROSS TO YORK CALLS AT DONCASTER STATION.

Yes...Welcome to Doncaster Rail Station on a very blustery and cold day. So cold that my fingers are freezing, even though I am wearing gloves! Finding it hard to press the shutter button on the camera!

Anyway, I am here to see 6233 Duchess of Sutherland, the LMS Princess Coronation Class steam locomotive, a large red loco, haul the 'Valentines White Rose' into Donny for a crew change, on its way to York.

6233 Duchess of Sutherland arrives to platform 8.

47804 provides the tail loco for this tour.

This is the third occassion I have seen this loco and I must say it's a marvellous-looking steamer! After a few minutes, 6233 was off again. Heading out to York.

Other Stuff at Donny

Northern 170461 heads-out south, for Sheffield.

Grand Central 180104 at platform 4 boarding passengers for York.

Maritme Class 66051 gets the 'GO' signal to haul DB Schenker Class 66131 out of Doncaster.

66051 powers away with 66131.

Freightliner Class 66541 hauls 26 trailers on the 'Down-Goods' line.

LNER Azuma pulls into platform 8 with a Leeds service.

Up-Goods signal 'D290'.

A good hour spent at the station, but too cold and windy to stay.
